みなさんこんばんは。千葉県議会議員（香取市・香取郡神崎町・香取郡多古町選出）の、かとう裕太（加藤裕太）です。
以前もご紹介していましたが、2025年8月7日から10日まで幕張メッセホール3で開催された、夏のさつまいも博2025に家族で行ってきました。
全国から選ばれた24店舗が出店しており、24店舗の中には千葉県から3店舗が出店しますが、そのうちの2店舗は香取市の芝山農園さんと茶屋花冠本店さんとなっています。
会場は多くの人で賑わっており、みなさん美味しいスイーツを楽しんでいらっしゃいました。
私も香取市の2店舗に伺い、芝山農園さんの「ちばっと 芋ぺちーの」と、茶屋花冠本店さんの「金蜜芋アールグレイの御氷」をいただきました。
どちらも美味しく、家族もみんな喜んでいました😊
他にもイベントに特別協力している千葉県のブース、紅のご褒美～千葉県産さつまいも～にも伺いました。
そこでは17事業者40品以上の千葉のさつまいもを使用したお菓子・スイーツが販売されていますが、その中でも、1K good neighbors POTATO&CAFEさんや石田農園さん、ブーランジェリー丘の上のシェリーさんといった香取市の事業者さんのお菓子・スイーツも販売されており、そちらも楽しませていただきました。
1,500円以上買い物をすると千葉県のグッズが当たる抽選もありました。
初日に行ったのですが、平日にもかかわらずたくさんの方々が会場にお越しになり、賑わっていました。
千葉県としても、紅のご褒美～千葉県産さつまいも～として、千葉県産のさつまいものPRに力を入れているところですので、今回初めての千葉県開催となったさつまいも博は全国のみなさんに千葉県のさつまいもを知っていただける大変貴重な機会になったと思います。
今回のさつまいも博をきっかけに、さらに千葉県のさつまいものPRに力を入れていっていただくとともに、千葉県には今回のイベントを単発のもので終わらせないようにしていただいて、今後もこういったイベントなどを開催する機会を継続してつくっていっていただきたいと思います。
I Visited the Summer Satsumaimo Expo 2025 – First-Ever Chiba Prefecture Edition with Vendors from Across Japan

As I mentioned previously, I visited the Summer Satsumaimo Expo 2025 with my family. The event was held from August 7 to 10, 2025, at Makuhari Messe Hall 3.

This summer’s expo featured 24 specially selected vendors from all over Japan. Among them, three were from Chiba Prefecture, and I was especially proud that two were based in Katori City—Shibayama Farm and Chaya Hanakanmuri honten.
The venue was bustling with visitors enjoying delicious sweet potato-based desserts.
I personally stopped by the two Katori City vendors and tried Shibayama Farm’s “Chibatto Imopeccino” and Chaya Hanakanmuri honten’s “Kinmitsu Sweet Potato Earl Grey Kakigori (Shaved Ice).” Both were excellent, and my family loved them as well. 😊
I also visited the Rouge no Gohoubi ~ Chiba Prefecture Sweet Potatoes booth, where Chiba Prefecture participated as a special partner for the event. The booth offered over 40 different sweets and treats made from Chiba-grown sweet potatoes by 17 producers. Among them were Katori-based businesses such as 1K good neighbors POTATO & CAFE, Ishida Farm, and Boulangerie Okanoue no Cherie—and I enjoyed their products as well.
There was even a special lottery where visitors who spent over ¥1,500 could win Chiba-themed goods.
Although I visited on the first day, which was a weekday, the venue was still packed with visitors, creating a lively atmosphere.
For Chiba Prefecture, the Rouge no Gohoubi campaign is an important part of promoting locally grown sweet potatoes. Hosting the Satsumaimo Expo for the first time in Chiba was a valuable opportunity to share the appeal of Chiba sweet potatoes with people from all over Japan.

I hope this year’s expo will serve as a springboard for even more active promotion of Chiba sweet potatoes, and that the prefecture will ensure this event is not just a one-off. I look forward to seeing more opportunities like this in the future to showcase the charm of our local agriculture.
