夏のさつまいも博2025は8月7日から10日まで開催　香取市からの出店＆千葉県ブースで香取市のお店のスイーツも

以前にもお伝えいたしましたが、千葉県では初めての開催となる、国内最大規模のさつまいも特化型イベント「夏のさつまいも博2025」が8月7日から10日まで幕張メッセ国際展示場ホール3で開催されます。

季節を超えて「さつまいもの新しい楽しみ方」を提案してきた「夏のさつまいも博」。4回目の開催となる今回は過去最大規模、千葉県の幕張メッセで開催します！千葉県といえば、全国でも上位のさつまいもどころ。千葉県での開催だからこそできる新しい楽しみ方をご提案しますので、ぜひ遊びにきてください！

各日10時から20時まで開催されますが、イベント最終日は17時30分までとなるようです。

夏のさつまいも博2025では、夏ということで、冷やし焼き芋やアイス、パフェなど、工夫を凝らしたさつまいもスイーツ・フードを提供する全国から選りすぐりの24店舗が出店します。

24店舗の中には千葉県から3店舗が出店しますが、そのうちの2店舗は香取市の芝山農園さんと茶屋花冠本店さんになりますので、大変ワクワクしています。

既に有名な2店舗の事業者さんですが、香取市のさつまいもやそれを使ったスイーツが千葉県だけでなく、全国の方々に届く機会が増えるというのは、大変嬉しく思います。

また、出店される店舗の他にも、千葉県ブースが設けられ、そこでは17事業者40品以上の千葉のさつまいもを使用したお菓子・スイーツが販売されますが、その中でも、1K good neighbors POTATO&CAFEさんや石田農園さん、ブーランジェリー丘の上のシェリーさんといった香取市の事業者さんのお菓子・スイーツが販売されます。

こうやって見てみると、千葉県を代表する事業者さんの中に、香取市の事業者さんが多いな、ということを改めて感じます。

全国のさつまいもの魅力はもちろんですが、千葉県のさつまいもの魅力、そして香取市のさつまいもの魅力が存分に味わえるイベントになっていると思いますので、是非色々なさつまいもやお菓子・スイーツを味わってみていただければと思います。

また、18時からはさつまいもとお酒を楽しむ「夜のさつまいも博」が同時開催されます。

また、ライブパフォーマンスをはじめ、様々なステージプログラムも行われますので、そちらも楽しみですね。

千葉県で初めての開催となりますし、さつまいもの魅力を存分に味わえるイベントになると思いますので、是非お越しください。

Summer Satsumaimo Expo 2025 to Be Held from August 7–10
Featuring Vendors from Katori City and a Chiba Prefecture Booth Showcasing Local Sweets

Good evening, everyone. I’m Yuta Kato, a member of the Chiba Prefectural Assembly representing Katori City, Kozaki Town, and Tako Town.

As I mentioned before, the Summer Satsumaimo Expo 2025—Japan’s largest sweet potato-themed event—will be held for the first time in Chiba Prefecture, from August 7 (Thu) to August 10 (Sun), at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 3.

The event will run daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on the final day when it will end at 5:30 p.m.

As it’s a summer edition, the event will feature creative sweet potato desserts and dishes—such as chilled roasted sweet potatoes, ice cream, and parfaits—offered by 24 carefully selected vendors from all across Japan.

Among the 24 vendors, three are from Chiba Prefecture, and I’m especially excited that two of them are based in Katori City: Shibayama Farm and Chaya Hanakanmuri honten.

These two well-known local businesses already enjoy a strong reputation, and I’m delighted that this event will help spread the appeal of Katori-grown sweet potatoes and sweets to audiences not only in Chiba but across the country.

In addition to individual vendor booths, there will also be a Chiba Prefecture booth offering over 40 products from 17 local producers—all made using sweet potatoes grown in Chiba.

Among the products featured, you’ll also find treats from several Katori-based businesses, including:

Looking over the lineup, I’m once again struck by how many of Chiba’s standout producers are based in Katori City.

Of course, this event is a chance to enjoy sweet potatoes from all across Japan—but I think it will also be a fantastic opportunity to experience the charm of Chiba-grown sweet potatoes, and especially those from the Katori region.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. each day, there will also be a “Night Satsumaimo Expo” where visitors can enjoy sweet potatoes paired with alcoholic beverages.

Live performances and stage events will also be held throughout the expo, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Since this is the first time the event is being held in Chiba, and it offers a great way to enjoy the full charm of sweet potatoes, I truly hope many of you will come and experience it for yourselves.

Chiba ranks third in Japan in terms of sweet potato production value, and the Katori region—including Katori City and Tako Town—is especially known for its sweet potato farming. That’s why the prefecture is actively promoting sweet potatoes as one of its flagship agricultural products.
